IntiMagz - In two weeks to prepare for Super Bowl 50, people would think the grass on the field would be among the first items of business the organizers would take care of, but as it turns out, that’s not the case, though that may not be the biggest surprise, this stadium doesn’t have the best reputation.
The turf was reported to been an issue more than an hour prior to kickoff via Twitter and radio broadcasts, as the groundscrew was spotted on the field just before the game attempting to patch up various divots that popped up in pregame warmups. the issues would continue though, as CBS reported well into the second quarter that players on both teams have been changing their cleats in order to keep their footing. This is far from the first time Levi’s Stadium has caused issues for NFL teams, with a notable case featuring Justin Tucker coming to mind.
With what’s sure to be a massive halftime show set to take place in just a few minutes, the turf will be something to keep an eye on throughout the second half. Check back for updates.
